A spring has a spring constant of 850 N/m. The spring is hanging from the ceiling of an ele- vator and a 6.0 kg box is attached to the lower end. By how much does the spring stretch, relative to its unstrained length, when the elevator is accelerating upward with an acceleration of 0.50 m/s^2?

@ constant speed

x = m*g/k = 6*9,806/850 =  0,06922 m (69,22 mm)

while accelerating up

x' = m*(g+a)/k = 6*(9,806+0,50)/850 = 0,07275 m (72,75 mm)
